Columbus, Ohio - May 6, 2018 - After 35 years of business, Ohio Mulch is proud to announce the opening of its 25th neighborhood store in Worthington, Ohio located at 826 E Dublin-Granville Road. The new location offers a large selection of mulch, soil, and stone products as well as numerous garden products in order to be a one-stop-shop for home gardening and beautiful landscapes.
Jim Weber II began Ohio Mulch in 1984 in Blacklick, Ohio. In 1992, Ohio Mulch opened a 50-acre headquarters in South Columbus, where it currently produces over 1 million cubic yards of product every year. Ohio Mulch strives to be good stewards of natural resources, which is why they accept residential yard-waste, compost it, and convert it to mulch and soil products. Ohio Mulch also replants over 50,000 hybrid-poplar trees each year at their farm in New Lexington, Ohio. In 2018, Ohio Mulch welcomed Brian Kura, a former Scott’s Miracle-Gro Senior Executive, as co-owner and operator. Jim and Brian have plans to expand and grow Ohio Mulch with additional retail locations in the future.
